Terms of Service
Last updated: 17 October 2026. Inner Networks may update these terms; the current version always lives at this page.
1. Who you're dealing with
Inner Networks builds the Innernet software and Innernet AI. Paddle.com Market Ltd. is the merchant of record for every purchase: Paddle is the seller of record, adds and remits GST/HST and international VAT, and handles your payment details. Inner Networks never receives your card number.
2. The software license
An Innernet license is a one-time purchase. It grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and run Innernet on as many machines as you personally use, for as long as Innernet exists. A license covers the software only:
- Standard ($20): the full app for life, with updates while Innernet exists.
- Scholar ($10): the same, offered at checkout to accounts with an academic email address.
- Hardship ($0): free, granted personally on request. Write to the address below and tell us briefly what's up — your words, not paperwork. Inner Networks reviews each request itself and may grant or decline it at its discretion, with no further process.
You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense Innernet, or use it to operate a service for others. You may not remove or obscure the license check. If you need anything outside these terms, write to us; unusual needs are usually easy to say yes to.
3. Innernet AI subscription
Innernet AI is a separate monthly or yearly subscription, sold inside the app. It lets your app use the hosted AI that Inner Networks runs: cleanup, tags, citations, and tutoring. It is "everything wired for you" — no API keys, no configuration, and you may stop any time with no penalty. Hosted AI use is subject to a fair-use allowance, expressed as model spend per month, that resets monthly; when you reach it, the app tells you plainly and resets when it says. We may adjust the allowance as costs change and will keep it fair. The allowance is not a secret pricing trick and is not used to sell upsells.
4. Trial
Unlicensed installs run the full app with one active document at a time. The trial does not expire or lock anything; after 30 days the app shows a license screen. Staying unlicensed forever is allowed.
5. Accounts and your data
Licenses and subscriptions are tied to the email address you use to sign in — verified by a code emailed to you. You are responsible for keeping access to that inbox. What we keep and what we never see is described in the privacy notice.
6. Refunds
Licenses and subscriptions can be refunded within 14 days, no questions asked — see the refund policy. Refunds are handled by Paddle through the original payment method.
7. Fair reliance
Innernet is a reading tool, not a legal or academic authority. AI output can be wrong; you remain responsible for what you write, cite, and submit. We do not promise uninterrupted AI service, and we may change which models run behind Innernet AI — features are the contract, not model names.
8. Ending
You may stop using the software at any time; delete your data from the app or by emailing us. We may end your access for breach of these terms — before that we'll tell you what's wrong and give you a reasonable chance to fix it, except for fraud or attempts to circumvent the license, where we may end access at once and without refund of fees already earned.
9. Legal housekeeping
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Inner Networks' liability to you is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing here limits rights that cannot be limited by law. "Innernet" and the software are operated by Inner Networks, a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario, Canada. Business identification number 1001769820.
