Introducing

THE INNERNET

A home for your highlights.

The Note Field seen from far: over five hundred note cards from ten books laid out as a map, each tag a hub — order, language, habit, time, memory — with lines joining every card to what it shares.

A web of interweaving, mutually illuminating, beautifully connected ideas — each uniquely yours.

Distraction-Free by Default; Themable by You.

From Quote to Note

  1. Highlight

Come across something noteworthy: “I should remember this.”

  2. Comment

Consider its significance and put it in your own words.

  3. Import

Bring it into your web of noteworthy, inspiriting ideas.

Each highlight is given dedicated space and time, cited from its source, tagged, and automatically organized for easy reference in a week, a month, a year — who's to say?

A document's cards being edited: titles written as one-sentence summaries, notes stating plainly what the author is saying, the quotation beneath with its Turabian citation and tags.

Never lose track of a source

Everything is cited, citation formats are interchangeable and easily rewritten, and several styles are available automatically: Turabian, Chicago, MLA, APA and more.

Connect Ideas and Create Insights

Highlights are gathered, connections are drawn, and the chain of reasoning is clearly visualized.

An insight board: highlight cards linked by lines with comments, a throughline ending in an insight card.
A smaller chain on the same board: an insight card opening through two highlight cards joined by commented lines.

Map Connections. Generate Insights. Think Clearly.

The Note Field seen from far, every other line faded: one dark throughline running straight down through the middle of five hundred cards, from a highlight in one book to the next and on through seven of them.
